Steve Rotheram's speech at the Hillsborough documents debate was a brilliant speech he was applauded which is unheard of in the house of commons. As a 19 year old in 89 I saw my father, truly cry for the first time. He is a lifelong Liverpool fan and introduced me to our great club from an early age as I have to my son who is now 5 years old. On that faithful and appalling day we we watched the match with a sense of anticipation. Our great club in another big occasion. We wished we could have been there to support our heroes. To witness live what happened will live with me forever. But to think that in the 21st century in a time of openness and supposed justice for the innocent that justice for those 96 departed souls has still not occurred is a sad indictment of our society. I can not fully comprehend why the families of the departed have gone through what they've had to in the intervening years. Let's get behind the jft96 campaign and as rightly pointed out recently by a campaigner (excuse me that I can't remember her name from lfc interview recently) the call for justice has been going on since that faithful day and not because of any media driven campaign of late. May they rest in peace and as our great club's mantra says THEY'LL NEVER WALK ALONE. May they rest in peace and ask the big Man upstairs to keep our great club the best and biggest in the world.
